Patient Care Center
This team schedules your appointments, they will make every effort to accommodate your needs. The appointment in which your appliances are placed (braces, expanders, etc.) generally takes one to two hours to complete. You will then be seen by the clinical staff and doctor at regular intervals, usually every four to ten weeks. These adjustment appointments take approximately 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.
New Patient Coordinator
Mary Jo is the person who takes all new patient calls and acts as a concierge for the patient until they make it in for their initial visit.
Meet the smiling faces of our front desk! These ladies serve as the hostesses of our practice and are the first people you'll meet when you come in for your appointment. They will be sure to show you around, answer any questions you might have, and make you comfortable while you wait. Whichever location you choose, you'll be welcomed in with a smile.
Treatment Coordinators and Assistants
The treatment coordinators and their assistants will gather diagnostic records to help the doctor determine the best course of treatment for you. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, plaster study models (impressions) of your teeth, photos of your face and teeth, and X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for you. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as your teeth move under orthodontic care. After the doctor has evaluated your records, they will discuss your treatment with you in detail including the fees for your particular case.
This talented team works behind the scenes to make your custom orthodontic holding appliances (retainers). Their message to you is: Wear your retainers every night. And clean your retainers thoroughly once a day with a toothbrush and cool water. Brushing retainers removes plaque and eliminates odors. Efferdent® or other orthodontic appliance cleaners can be used, but does not take the place of brushing. Always put retainers in their case after cleaning!
