We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. From the moment you walk in, we want you to feel welcome. We promise to make every effort to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for you.   Our commitment to excellence in our orthodontic results begins with your first visit! The best part of this initial visit, records and consultation is complimentary.

About 2 weeks before your scheduled appointment, you will receive a confirmation letter along with a New Patient Information sheet and a booklet about orthodontics.  You will also receive a reminder call a couple of days before your appointment.

Please let the front desk know you have arrived and they will show you how to check in using our state of the art computer check in system.  Our Treatment Coordinator Assistant will be out to greet you shortly and escort you to the records room where photos, and x-rays will be taken.  Next, you will meet with the Treatment Coordinator to discuss your concerns and/or any issues from your dentist.  We will be looking for discrepancies in bite, alignment of the teeth, spaces, crowding, etc.  The doctor will join you in the Treatment Coordinator’s room to discuss his evaluation and treatment recommendations.

If it is recommended that this is the right time to begin treatment
  • You will have an estimate of how long treatment will take
  • Exactly what is involved in the orthodontic treatment
  • An exact cost with payment options (we offer a variety of affordable payment options, including the coordination of insurance)
Our Walk-Out folder will contain
  • Callahan Flanagan & Smiths’ practice policies
  • Office hours and phone numbers
  • Foods to avoid if you are going to be wearing braces
  • A letter describing the doctor’s observations and recommendations
  • A copy of the computer images
  • Fees, if ready to start
  • Appointment ticket
